Luban workshop achieved great results

On January 4, 2020, the First Interantional Micromouse Challenge of the 23rd Edition of Asia’s Science and Technilogy Festival--Techfest 2020 was held in Mumbai, India. The delegations from India, China, Australia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and other countries participated in the competition. Micromouse team of Tianjin, China won all the medals of "gold, silver and copper" with absolute advantage, and successfully got the prize of 175000 rupees. At the competition venue of Bombay Institute of technology, India, there was a wave of Chinese Micromouse fans. Teachers and students from all over the world gathered around the students from Tianjin for sincere congratulations and cordial exchanges.

The Micromouse competition integrates multi-disciplinary knowledge of mechanism, electronics, optics, automatic control, artificial intelligence and embedded system. The software and hardware technology and artificial intelligence algorithm of Micromouse are widely used in teaching, scientific research and other fields, and can also be extended to the intelligent fields of unknown environment search and rescue, robot path planning, high-speed motion control and automatic driving.

Zhang Shuai, an undergraduate of Tiangong University, won the eighth "Qicheng Cup" Micromouse competition in 2019. He was fully funded by Tianjin Qicheng Science & Technology Co.,Ltd and participated in the international Micromouse competition free of charge. He performed well in the competition and won the honor of world champion with a prize of 175000 rupees. Bai HaoChen, a student of Tianjin Tianshi University, won the second place, and Zheng Bowen, a student of Nankai University, won the third place. India, Australia, Nepal and other teams won the excellence award respectively.

After the competition, Zhang Shuai said in an interview that his Micromouse has adopted advanced turbocharging technology and maze search algorithm based on deep learning, and has made great progress in speed-up and intelligent control technology this year. I'm lucky! I sincerely thank the school's leading teachers and sponsoring enterprises for giving me the opportunity to participate in the international competition. I will live up to Shaohua and win glory for my country through trials and hardships, gain insight and promote growth!

It is particularly worth mentioning that the LubanWorkshop team of Chennai Institute of technology in India that adopted the International standard equipment TQD-Micromouse-JD presented by China in 2017, won the champion of India domestic competition and the fourth place of the world elite group and won the prize of 5000 rupees, becoming the star team of International Micromouse ChallengeIndia! Kasik, teacher of Indian Luban workshop, said that such excellent results of the team of Luban Workshop in Chennai Institute of Technology is the result of the joint efforts of teachers and students of Luban Workshop and the support of enterprises, Tianjin Qicheng Science & Technology Co. Ltd. in the past three years.

After the competition, the organizer invited Ms. song Lihong, the founder of China Qicheng Micromouse, to share the theme of "Micromouse competition is the link and bridge connecting the world" at the Indian Micromouse Technology International Exchange Conference. She introduced that since 2007, China has held the International Micromouse competition, which has developed from the initial simple imitation learning to the current "mutual learning" and even "leading radiation", setting up a new platform for international exchanges and cooperation. The holding of the competition has far-reaching significance for improving the practical innovation ability and interdisciplinary cooperation research ability of college students. Finally, president Song introduced his partner, teachers and students of Luban workshop of Chennai Institute of technology, India. On the spot, he presented a series of Chinese teaching resources of "principles and production of Micromouse " to encourage Indian students to study Micromouse technology hard, where there is a will, there is a way.

Kumar, head of India competition, said that Chinese enterprises provided TQD Micromouse timer V3.0 full-automatic high-precision electronic scoring system (the designated scoring platform for this competition), Chinese engineers provided on-site technical support, and the Indian Organizing Committee presented honorary certificates to express its gratitude in recognition of the international cooperation spirit of Chinese enterprises.
