In 2010, Tianjin Municipal Education Commission brought the Micromouse competition, an innovative engineering practice category, into the students' skill competition of Tianjin higher vocational colleges. Tianjin metallurgy vocational and technical college undertook the first "Qicheng Cup" embedded micro robot (Micromouse) competition.

On December 13, 2014, the third "Qicheng Cup" embedded micro robot (Micromouse) competition was held in Tianjin Sino German University of applied technology. Teams from eight Vocational Colleges in Tianjin participated in the race.

The fourth "Qicheng Cup" embedded micro robot (Micromouse) competition in 2015

In December 2015, Tianjin Sino German University of Applied Technology hosted the fourth "Qicheng Cup" embedded micro robot (Micromouse) competition, and 18 teams from 11 Higher Vocational Colleges in Tianjin entered the final. The competition is divided into two parts: theoretical examination and practical operation, in which the theoretical examination accounts for 40% of the total score, the practical operation examination accounts for 60%, the practical operation points "labyrinth racing part" accounts for 40% of the total score, and the "innovation competition part" accounts for 20% of the total score.

On December 9, 2017, the sixth Tianjin Vocational College Students' skills competition "Micromouse competition" was successfully held again in Tianjin Bohai vocational and technical college. 14 teams from 10 Vocational Colleges in Tianjin participated in the competition. The competition continues to be divided into two parts: Theory and practice. The innovation competition is a series of actions and postures of the Micromouse through on-site programming and debugging.

From November 10 to 11, 2018, Tianjin Vocational College Students' skills competition, sponsored by the Municipal Education Commission, was in full swing. From April 19 to 21, 2022, 2021 Tianjin Vocational Schools Competition and 2022 National Vocational Schools Competition will be held online. The competition is organized by Tianjin Polytechnic College and co-organized by Tianjin Qicheng Science and Technology Co., LTD. Based on the close combination of classroom teaching and competition, Micromouse can stimulate students' ability to combine theory with practice and work independently, and discover and solve problems through practice.

2022 "Development and Application of Intelligent Micro Devices" competition of Tianjin Vocational Schools

On March 10, 2023, the "Development and Application of Intelligent Micro Devices" competition of 2022 Tianjin Vocational Schools Competition was successfully completed in Tianjin Bohai Vocational and Technical College. This competition has been successfully held for 11 times. This year's instructor competition and student competition selected 77 players from 11 vocational schools to form a team to participate in the competition.
