He was born in Porto, Portugal in 1974 and graduated as the computer system engineering major of the University do Minho in Portugal, Ph.D. He works in industry and service companies in northern Portugal. He is engaged in the research and development of intelligent sweeping robots and a variety of intelligent robots, as well as the design of education and teaching curriculum resources. He is the head of the Portuguese Micromouse Competition Organizing Committee. He has won many honors such as the individual achievement award of the Portuguese robot industry. With the authorization of Dr. Coelho, he volunteered to become an international consultant of the general Liaison Office of Micromouse Competition (China).
